Nov. 10th, 2006 11:07 amI'm about to go on a camping expedition/mammal trapping lab/overnight field trip with my Vertebrate Natural History class. When I say "about to go" I really mean "in about an hour and a half" (and that sounded rather Ten-ish). Anyway, we're going to the woodsy part of a campground (I think) and will be setting out traps and bait for various mammals. I have no idea what sort of traps we're using or what we hope to catch--Dr Iudica sort of didn't tell us that part. We made the bait a few weeks ago in lab, though, so at least we know what that will be. It should be interesting, though. And there will be 'smores. ^_^
We'll be coming back sometime to-morrow, after which I'll probably be spending the whole day in the spider lab. Because I have a new clutch of spiderlings and I have to finish feeding the first clutch and make the habitats (which involves sifting potting soil--this takes at least half-an-hour for one box) for the first clutch--and I need to finish cutting the artificial-lawn-which-doesn't-look-anything-like-grass-and-would-look horrible-if-someone-actually-used-it-on-their-lawn. And then I have several things due on Monday/Tuesday. Gah. Very big GAH.
