(I’d just typed up this entry and then the window closed before I could post it—grr . . . .)
I haven’t updated in almost a month--sorry about that! "Spring" Break was last week, and as my parents’ computer was overtaken by the virus of d00m, I had to use my brother’s. Since he’s on his computer/playing Halo at almost every waking moment, I was pretty much only online while he was at school. My break was pretty uneventful, but still fun. My mom and I watched quite a few movies—14 if you count Pride and Prejudice as two movies (it’s certainly long enough and it *is* two disks).
The Movie List o’ Spring Break :
* Nanny McPhee ("I did knock." "Of course you did." [Thomas Sangster’s character, whose name I can’t remember at the moment, is the only one who actually *does*])
* Hope Springs ("Perhaps if I were to drive rather slowly, we’d get home alive" [Okay, that’s quite misquoted, but the scene is hilarious] )
* Tarzan (yes, the animated Disney version--I hadn’t seen it in years)
* The Swan Princess (same as above, except for the Disney-ness--this is one of my favourite animated movies)
* Garden State (thanks, Low-C! I can see why this one is rather well-liked)
* Girl With a Pearl Earring (again, thanks, Low-C! Prettiness . . . )
* Sense and Sensibility (I haven’t read the book yet, but I loved the movie. And Emma Thompson wins at life for giving her Golden Globe acceptance speech as Jane Austen. Also, Snape/Hesty OTP! [RP inside joke])
* Mansfield Park [1999 version] (This made me sad. Very sad. Why does William no longer exist? Why is most of the plot completely different from that of the book? And the worst: What did they do to poor Fanny? ::is saddened:: I found out that BBC did a serial of MP--I’m going to see if they have it at the SU library and hope it’s more faithful to the novel)
* Eight Below (Okay, technically I went to see this with my dad)
* Finding Neverland (I love this movie . . . )
* Love Actually (Jamie/Aurelia!! They’re so adorable--I’d love to see a sequel about just the two of them. Or fanfic. Sadly, the Love Actually section on Fanfiction.net is rather small. And the only on focusing solely on Jamie/Aurelia hasn’t been updated in over a year [it might actually be closer to two years, now that I think about it] )
* What a Girl Wants (Mainly for the Firth-ness . . . and the tux-ness. Incidentally, does Henry’s fiancée remind anyone else of Caroline Bingley?)
* Pride and Prejudice (The BBC serial, of course! ♥ ♥ And I can now say I’ve watched the entire serial in one day! It wasn’t all in one sitting though—we took a break for CSI)
And I accomplished quite a bit of my cross-stitch--I think I’m about three-quarters finished with the edging/bordering now. Working on stitchery while watching Jane Austen movies is more amusing to me than it probably should be. : D
Hopefully LJ lets me post this time. *bangs stick*

(I've realised I have quite few fandoms--I should really post a list of all my OTPs sometime.)
