I now have a ticket to the midnight showing of Goblet of Fire! *squee* I didn't think I'd be able to go, but then Courtney IMed me and said she had an extra ticket :D I'm quite looking forward to it because A) it's Goblet of Fire and B) I've never been to a midnight showing before--the theatre in my town is small, and they don't usually have midnight showings . . . unless it's something like Lord of the Rings or Star Wars. And there are a bunch of SU people going, too. :)
And to-night is also the Annual Thanksgiving Dinner at SU--I wonder which professor we're going to have this year as our server? Whomever we get, I'm sure it won't beat having Dr Johnson freshman year. That was classic.
Also to-night is the conclusion to the two-episode CSI from last week. I'm curious as to how this one's going to work out . . .
Well, I've got to run to the bank, and then it's physics problems like a hatter!

What did you think of it? I was generally approving, except for the fact that it was really choppy. It was especially noticeable in the beginning... hey, Harry's at Ron's already... wait, it's the day of the Quidditch cup? Yay Irish... but, um, do we get to see the match?...so now they're on the train? The other schools are coming already?... and so on. I know it was a long book, but hey, there are such things as transitions! Of course, I completely intend to see it again over Thanksgiving, so let me know when you're free!

Yeah, I thought it was awesome for the most part, yet choppy. In the words of my roomie Dana, "If they can make Titanic and Lord of the Rings 3 hours, why can't they do that for Harry Potter? It bugged me that they left out some things completely. Marauder's Map anyone? Oh look, I saw Barty Crouch roaming about the castle but he's not supposed to be here. Sorry, that plot point no longer exists. And the whole Rita Skeeter-being-an-Animagus thing went away. And the everyone-hates-Hermione-because-she's-"cheating"-on-Harry-with-Krum left too . . . I thought it was funny that they were doing schoolwork a grand total of twice--one exam and a DADA class. However, I suppose they couldn't put *everything* in . . .
Definitely! I've been trying to get a hold of you on IM to see when you want to see it . . . How about Saturday evening? My family's getting our tree on Friday, so we'll be decorating it most of Saturday, but the 6ish or 9ish showing would be good for me, I think :D (or maybe Friday evening, as I think we're getting our tree in the afternoon). I'll ring you when I know what I'm doing with my family.
