This will probably be a freakishly long post since I haven't updated in forever! On Saturday, Sarah and I drove home at around 10ish (well, technically her mom and Wayne did) to see our high school's 2:30 production of Cinderella. 'twas quite good--Kara was perfectly lovely as Cinderella, King Frankie D. and Queen Low-C were wonderful, and Lauren and Whitney were hilarious as the two stepsisters (as well as Ashley as the stepmother). I was a bit envious though, and wished we would have done this show last year: the two years I was in the musical (Guys and Dolls junior year and Damn Yankees senior year), I couldn't be one of the "dancers" because 'twas more of a jazz-style dancing(despite 11 years of ballet)---this year though, everyone got to wear ballgowns/suits and waltz!! I could waltz--'tis probably quite similar to ballet . . . . . I want to wear a pretty dress and waltz!! After the show, Karen, Sarah, and I went to the stage to see our "underclassmen" friends---especially Emily, Laura, Cat. P., Frankie D., and Low-C + I also said hi to Laura Leigh who was in pit----they were all so surprised that Sarah and I had driven the 2+ hours to Wellsboro just to see the show and were leaving right afterwards! hmm . . . not much happened after that---Sarah's dad drove the two of us home and we stopped at the Laurel Café for dinner (a little restaurant in my town) . . . we listened to the district final basketball game between our girls and the girls from Line Mountain . . . we stopped at a gas station for a break + picked up some candy, etc. Then we were stopped for almost an hour because of an accident: scary thought we had:if we would not have stopped at the gas station, we might have been in the accident or something . . . *gasp* . . . grrfully, the radio station cut out three minutes before teh game was done, but I learned from Chris' lj that Wellsboro lost--grr . . . oh well, I think our girls are still going to States :D |
